It's so funny looking at that picture of Nias, I'm thinking, man I would be all over that wave. The unfortunately reality when I was faced with similar in El Sal I was shoulder hopping bing time.
I always wondered what his next move was in this pic. You know his mind is racing. Is he stalling there to set back up for the barrel? It looks like he is about to dig his hand in for a bottom turn, but it also looks like he is hesitating and contemplating taking the straight line out into the flats and letting it close out behind him. Always thought it was a sick photo. Just always wondered what happens next.
Couple photos from my LJ Reef session back in 2010. Setting up for the avatar shot in the first one. Second does not require explanation. Just another mushy day in Southern California. ...
Check out the angle of the white water hitting the reef in the first shot....yeah, that's not very shallow. Did you float in to the "hospital" after that 2nd wave?
I like the fact that practically nobody knows that OCM is actually holding. You guys are luckier than you know.
This was next: and then it all sort of wuzzed out like Belmar Further to the right Ted Smith was picking off one after another:
Happy Feet The best part of wakin' up. Paradise. You'll never find this wave. How do I make attached photos big?
From this afternoon. Warm water has finally come to delmarva - 70 according to the guard. I cant help but think some of that 55 degree water from three weeks ago is still lurking down below and upwelling is going to be with us at some point.
Mitchell, can you come take some pics at my break. The waves always look good whereever you have your camera.
