Waves ranged thigh to waist high this morning. Best in a while. Then wind chop set in after a couple of hours. SI and MSW didn't call this, unless it was just at the FP Inlet. Will try to get some more tomorrow
Maryland was waist high second day in a row. You know its a rough time of year when two waist high days are something worth getting excited about. The light offshore wind this morning was nice touch too.
Caught it knee to waist this morning, then rinse and repeat this afternoon. Surfed with chipmunk like groms who totally shredded, a few old locals and good friends, and a bunch of craft, from kayaks, to SUPs to tandem surf camp soft tops. It was epic. It is always amazing how a good session, no matter how small, can make things all good in the world.
Nicely said SIsurfdog. Are you going to the big rally Sunday In Stuart and Jensen Beach. They hope for thousands to show up to hold hands across a 3 mile stretch of the beaches there to protest the Lake O releases into the estuary and ocean. We will be surfing, but I hope it's successful. Bunch of friends are going.
Summer: You guys missed it! You all stayed in because it was only forecasted to be knee high and it was waist high this morning! Winter: You guys missed it! You all stayed in because it was only forecasted to be chest high this morning and it was actually overhead! I'm just joking around, I know waist high is a big deal in summer, so the summer guys (whether or not you are one) get a big kick out of it. Good on them. I just think it's funny that there's a post about it. I missed it, but that's because I don't want to paddle out with crowds.
Flsurfdog: A 9' soft top board and I am probably old enough to be your grandma but zi have two smoking hot daughters that come along about once a year. You will see I am the worst surfer on the beach. Can spot the wave paddle for it, pop up, take the drop, and make an ugly bottom turn, and then ride it in. But man it's exhilarating. Been doing it for about two years now and can't get enough of it. Are you going to the rally?
I had a sick sesh in RI yesterday. Perfect, clean, waist high sets, maybe a few stomach high sets came in.

No, cant make it to the rally I have prior engagements this afternoon, gonna try and catch some waves in the A.M. with my smoking hot daughter...guys beware im a fairly large guy with a bad temper....
got it twice yesterday dawn patrol was STOMACH HIGH! and i was ammmmped. cannot wait to don some rubber.
I was out there all morning Flsurfdog. There were tons of surfers. Some choppy stuff but nice size for summer. Lots of fun. Did you make it out?
Scored some fun New Smyrna inlet surf today. Waist high and occasionally bigger in the afternoon. A pleasantly under forecasted swell. 3 sesh day not bad!
Yea I was out there, caught a few waist high waves, left around 10:30 because it was crowded, it was better than nothing, high tide messed it up a bit late morning. If I didn't have anything to do in the afternoon I would have went north to N.S.B., heard it was really fun up there. @stinkbug...I don't know about the frothing part, but I will agree that the south central coast of Florida has been pathetic this summer.
At my break by indialantic is was pretty great today. Stayed good even in high tide which was surprising. The waves also had a nice bit of weight to them so they pushed you even on the less than knee high waves.
Stinkbug doesn't feel the stoke, oh well. It's kinda like when youre on a cold streak even chunky homely chicks start looking good!
Surfed incoming tide right before dark at our secret spot. Stomach high sets and perfect sky. Thank you Jesus!
