One day in the forest, there was a huge forest fire. All the creatures of the forests fled for their lives. Many were unable to escape, and lost their lives that day. The next day, a baby skunk that managed to escape noticed a baby duck that was crying and crying. The baby skunk asked the baby duck, "Why are you crying? You escaped with your life." "I lost my parents in the fire, and I don't even know what I am!!" the duck sobbed. The skunk replied, "Let's look at this logically. You're yellow and covered with feathers, and I heard you quacking as you left the forest...I believe that you might be a Duck." The duck stopped crying, let out a quack, shook his feathers and said, "You know what? I think you're right!! I must be a duck!!!" The baby duck was relieved and happy. All of a sudden, the baby skunk began crying loudly. "What's the matter?", the baby duck asked. "Well, I didn't even think about it, buy my parents died too...and I don't know what I am!!" the skunk replied. "OK", the duck said. "Let's look closely at this. You're black, you're white, you smell bad...", "You must be Puerto Rican."
Bro eat a DIKK. I make it a habit to post multiple replies within the same post. Then again these treads are long and deliberate at times and I reply after reading a long and captivating post only to find another like it. I crushed work this week bro. To the tune of 90 hours. So yeah, I got time today. As I type this on the iPhone 6 I'm laying in my oceanfront hammock on a perfect day as I wait for the good brahs to bring over wings and things so we can watch the Pats slay the Vikes. You free bro? Should come by. seldom, you on 93N yet bro? live4truth, maybe you can start another poll like rcarter did in the spring of 2013 to see who exactly here wants to vote me off da break. Then again that's a bit egocentric and I'm not into claiming bandwidth for a whole tread bouts me. Tell you what bro, you find more guys that despise me than like my posts here and I'll walk. Never to be heard from again. You'll still see me on the Carver out and about, and at breaks everywhere.
^^^^^Thanks for the retort...but I'll pass thank you... (Take this without sarcasm) Glad to hear you work hard and are relaxing on a weekend...good to know your jobs provides you with life luxuries like new tech and you have a life outside of here...your carver post are. Probably my favorite of most of your stuff on here...your knowledgable and seem like you skate often (pulled the trigger on one after you posts on the carver thread). But I think you're over reacting chief...frankly stay or go...it really doesn't matter to me...my point...why not just stick on point...why clog threads with unrelated content...who wants to sift thru al this crap... To keep this related...I was bumped by a bunker this morning...it was weak and gutless but still got a few.
Bumped into all kinds of weird crap in the water but never had anything big slam into me. Sketchiest time I've experienced was something bumping the tail of my board 3 times. Was out at CB a couple years ago, it was dreary, choppy, drifty, and high tide so was out a bit. Was just sitting on my LB when something hit the tail and popped me up a lil. I did the usual WTF and pulled in the extremities. I thought about it for a minute and decided it was just the chop, figured I just got a lil choppy wave that popped the tail just right. Still got that weird feeling and the water was really murky so I paddled down a ways. Was sitting there a while when I got bumped again. Ok, was little more freaked out, but just told myself to calm down, its just a weird chop lining up that's bumping the board weird. Just being paranoid. Still, I paddled further down and was just sitting there when I got bumped a third time, and this time it popped me up in the air off the board a few inches. Definitely wasn't just a weird chop to the wave, I could feel the impact and the force clearly this time. Had to do that unnatural combination of GTFO without causing too much fuss. No idea what it was, but it was definitely interested in me/my board. I just told myself it was a playful dolphin and went out again later.
YEAH !! Beautiful, man. .................................. Oh boy, Live4Truth is all bent out-of-shape again. Dude, if this place is still bothering you, then why do you continue to come on it. Pray tell, Live4Truth, who or what do you find enjoyable on this site? Like who do you think is b!tchen on here? How many times can one post on a certain thread? What is the acceptable number of times? If you guys who get upset at things (number of posts someone makes, off-topic posts, etc) would just start a thread and post YOUR RULES then we'd be able to follow them more closely. Hey Live4Truth where do you live?
Not quite sea life, but when the waves are good in the middle of a lightning storm I find myself thinking I have to get in before I get juiced. Then I get a good ride and think one more wave. Funny how that works...
Bro, the i6 was a Shred reference. It's not even out yet and I don't have any secret Asian friends for the inside. Stoked to hear I could be of posi influence with you getting Carvered and stoked. As for the staying or going, it was a joke bro. I don't get rattled on here. I do joke around quite a bit, and carry on with good braddahs here with ongoing conversations that spill into different treads. If you're on the prowl to be a vigilante cleaning up content, there are serious perps here not including myself. They do nothing but troll. Lots of targets for your angst bro. Go after them and give em the boot. I try my best to add to the GDP of this forum. Bro, you know there's long period swell on its way this week? Everything's grand.
Damn, I missed a lot.... Billy boy's back Live4Truth and EMass, shake hands and direct your anger toward Wayne. I paddled out the day before Thanksgiving last year, nice swell that day. Caught a ride and at the end of the ride jumped off my board...I landed on something with some decent size. It squirmed in between my legs and was big enough that it was shifting my weight. I launched out of the water and onto my board...paddled the rest of the way in, walked down and paddled back out. Definitely freaked me out...my guess is it was a 4'-5' Sandtiger, but who knows....
If I remember correctly, that was when Tobo was back in town? Waves had some size that day. Never saw you freak out like that before though haha
IDK Bout youse guys but I just chill out with the true locals, I especially like the sea turtles who hang out and watch what's going on, the dolphin who like to show they're the better surfers, sharks who like to get air borne when striking a pod of fish, sting rays boosting, tarpon blasting anything in sight giving the stink eye as I check for a fin, or a seal or sea lion like when I was out West, or whales like when I was in PR. Never really got bumped by any of these dudes, we all seem to respect each others space. But if I do get ran into i'll be sure to say excuse me even if it's their fault, it's all respect
I got bumped by a sea lion bull a few months ago. Scary as f***. He popped his head up next to me and grunted about five minutes before he did it too. I called it a day.
Just got back a few days ago from Westport, a buddy of mine up there told me him and another guy got chased from the water at Seaside around a few months ago by a pissed-off sea lion. Strange.
A couple years back in OCMD, something bumped the back of my board pretty hard. I shrugged it off, but it def tightened up the sphincter! I was surfing Mission Beach and had a sea lion pop its head up about a foot in front of my board, yeah, that freaked me out for a minute. The kelp would catch me off guard, too. A 2 foot piece of kelp looks 6 feet on the bottom shadow
I was in CR a few weeks ago. Wiped out on a wave and thought my board nailed my shin. Back sitting out in the line up, the pain was getting a lot worse - felt like I got hit with a hammer - so checked my shin out a bit closer. There was a little white sack attached to my leg. When I tried to brush it off, it wouldn't remove easily. After I removed it, there was a little wound. I later figured out that I was tagged by sting ray. That evening I had to pull the little gelatinous bead of poison out of the hole in my leg with some tweezers. Now, 6 weeks later, that hole in my leg is still trying to heal.
I've heard from a lot of surfers and even a diver who had a bad experience that sea lion bulls can be very aggressive. Not uncommon for them to mess with you. My incident was at Mushies, but I see them all the time at Seaside.
