Wow, man, that is terrible! Judging by the size and pattern of the bite marks I'd say it was an 8-10 foot bull. You're lucky to still be alive. After that heals, if it ever does heal, I recommend staying out of the water for at least six months to a year due to the chance of contracting MRSA. Maybe even stay out of the water for good. Good luck, brah.
I tried to warn Frost about the dangers lurking off our beaches! Let this be a lesson for the rest of you.
lol. consider yourself an 'official surfer' as virtually all of us have at one time or another entered the food chain in various manners. one time something grabbed my wetsuit-boot heel and shook vigorously (!) then released.....
Dont want to make you feel guilty but that's another reason to get your feet on the board. The mystery that lurks beneath. Ha! Just pullin' your leg
There are these mysterious creatures called water molecules. This may be what bit you. Also, another new creature to man, sand granules. Very agressive and leave the same invisible markings shown on your foot. You may want to consult a doctor.
AFTER completing My residency from here at SI its very clear you need to ask SI members their opinions on your injury. I suggest drinking some JD and smoking up for a bit, then hitting a sesh or three and pulling an all nighter.
Doctor? We don't need no stinking doctors. The crack medical consultation team at SI is more than capable of dispensing quality advice on issues ranging from the very minor to the serious and life threatening such as this one.
Just repaired a 7 10" and wanted to take it out to paddle it etc ...I'm still learning to Pop up right...practiced popping on land then out in water.. Took a break and was bodyboarding when bit/pinched incoming high tide there were some decent swells every so often.. Wasn't flat that's what I actually want to practice getting my balance right b
Save your pictures because after a couple of years of surfing you will get a real chuckle out of them.
