Has anyone tried the Sony Action Cam as an alternative to the GoPro? I just got one, and from what I see the video clarity is actually better then the GoPro. I haven't had a chance to take it out in the water yet.
im not sure. but i just ordered the little black sony action cam for my father for xmas. he is a dirtbiker/atv. the reviews seemed pretty good for it, and i saw some ski video of a guy wearing it and it was cool footage. did you get a headband with the camera?
I have that camera. The video is super clear and it has some good video options. As far as the cons.... the video compressor it uses is not as good as the gopro. while overall its just fine, it does have frames that show up pixelated everyone once in a while. Also its color chip really accentuates the color blue. Other than that its a top notch camera in my opinion. oh one more thing worth noting.... it fogs up a lot worse than the gopro's do. But the best trick I discovered for handling that with the gopro and the action cam is to use dishwashing soap. put a little on the inside lense cover and gently wipe it till its invisible. keeps the fog off better than anything I've used.
