South Carolina Surf (Pawley's Island)

yeah brah there is surf but you have to be a real shreda to surf around these parts. (jersey style) dont cut it if ya from the jerz they they get blown out of the water by Carolina cutbacks and then we smack them them down with Charleston chop hops. the waves get mackin even bigger than belmar with 24 foot sets on the daily but shhhhh dont tell everyone and blow up the spot. there is also a s.carolina version of da hui called the kkks (klu kluks klan of surfers) they keep order around these parts and keep the line up in order.

 

Damn bro. That post had it all. Sic aviator too. Could be up there for Aviator of the Year but that's more like a mid-year -OTY.

 

Welp ya heard from a couple idiots and learned nothing. There is fun surf in SC but I don't know about pawleys. Garden city supposedly has a few fun waves but once again I don't know. Do a little research on the best spots in the state and you ll get an idea of where to go, Have fun ---cheers

your best chance in jan is gonna be a notheaster so you could surf almost any where. the pier is the most popular spot and only really gets good with a se swell.

go to the pit (pawleys island tavern) for nightlife and landolphi's for itilian, bistro 217 and or fishcamp for good food.

I usually make a stop by there on my travels up north, the pier and all the way south of the beach it can get decent. Cop always follows me otw in or out. They must be bored or sumtin, but then again i ride dirty (not carolina squat dirty but close). Only was able to surf twice, other times they were blown out. Same goes with Garden City/Surfside Beach. The PIT tho is still awesome. Anyways, hope u scored
