South Floridians: We have been working on updating the Swellinfo model. When we made some changes about a week ago, it was letting in too much N swell to South Florida. As of this morning, we reverted only the South Florida forecasts (Ft Pierce to Miami) back to the old model, which was configured to handle this better. Some heavy work is being put into improving the modelling of this region. What makes this region unique is the shallow water surrounding Grand Bahama that blocks a lot of NE swell from reaching the region. We should be implementing the south florida upgrade in the upcoming week.
