Just wanted to see what people like better here on the east coast. South swell (S,SSE, SE)or East Swell (E, ESE). I personally dig the south swell 1,000 times better to the fact i wont even bother with the east swell but thats just me. The shoulders are everywhere and the rides are so much longer and you can do so much more on the wave. Your thoughts?
different breaks will handle different swell directions better. in general the straighter on the swell direction the more closeouts you will have. If its a steep swell direction, then more refraction takes place, bending the swells into the beach, creating less closeouts and generally longer rides.
