Besides--who "forecasts" buoy readings anyway? You forecast the surf. You report or observe the actual readings on the buoys to get some idea what the surf will be like wherever.
I am sure part of that is true, but I bet you will see 25 to 30 feet at that buoy before you would ever see it at the surf line. A while back Micah did a session at the Lewes library on wave predictions and what all was involved. I wasn't able to make it, so I am not a prediction pro. LOL
