For those who may know---Micah, is it possible that the LONG Period Swell East Coast Buoys have been picking up over these last couple of days, are a result of the storm system off Brazil? Having been in the water recently, i can say that i was not feeling wind swell.

Getting any sort of swell from that direction i know is rare if not never i believe. But i have heard mention made of it a few times.

Seeing the extent and length of the,.(would it be fetch?), anyway, the wind direction has been this same direction and over the full extent of the sea back to Brazil for a number of days as well as the big blob off Brazil.

So the question is? What was/is the swell maker out there? Is this swell similar to that one back a few months ago?

there was a thread about this a while back. this swell definitely isn't from up here so i'm pretty sure you're right. almost all of the beaches here have been close out shore break, but there is one spot i've surfed the past two days that really turns on during a long period swell, and it's been working really well.

Same here. Buoys reading 17,18 seconds...Its got to be southern energy. Inconsistent dribble for 5-10 minutes then a set of long waist high lines where I was yesterday.
