Why are you so mean? First of all you said "LA vs NE gets more eyes than any one player" It was brought up later (by someone else) about adding the franchises to LA and that could be why they would push for LA to get in. Then you were all like "yeah yeah that's what I meant" 2nd of all the London games have had great attendance and they NFL gets to be on the air for an abnormal time slot which increases viewers. Your theory has failed. My condolences
Bryce Harper is going to the Phillies for $330 mill for 13 years, biggest deal in baseball history. IMO, it's absolutely crazy how much money is involved in professional sports nowadays.
I honestly thought that the day of the 10 year, $300 million contract was over. At least that's what all the talking heads were squawking about just a few months ago when nobody was signing Harper and Machado. The ESPN Conspiracy Train was full speed ahead on the "collusion" narrative lol. Let's see if either one is worth the $$$. And by that I mean "World Series".
13 years is crazy, dude is under contract until he is 39. Cant wrap my head around that. They think he is gonna be worth $25 mil at 39 years old. Phillies must have a lot of cash burning a whole in their pocket. Take it from a Dodgers fan, spending does not guarantee winning. Never been a Harper fan, thought the Phillies should have told him to pound sand and gone after Trout next year. But I guess they are going to try and get both, which seems unbelievable.
Yeah, Judge has some serious pop in that bat. He's good but I think Trout is more well rounded, a combination of speed, power, talent, he reminds me of a white Bo Jackson, with his ability to track a fly ball down from what seems like an impossible play to make, then fire that ball from the warning track to home plate and get a dude out, or his ability to steal bases with ease, he can hit for average AND if that isn't enough he too can smack the cover off the ball. Just a rare talent.
