Quick question for anyone living or who has lived in Hawaii. I will be moving to Oahu in a couple of months and was curious whether I should invest in a spring suit. I'm sure I would be just fine bringing my long-sleeve top, but I am the guy who is still wearing his short sleeve full when the water is 70. Also, I will probably be logging most of my water time early in the morning.

Thanks for the responses.

Hahah no. Unless your a pu**y. Water is 70 and above always over there. There are locals that rock full suits sometimes because waters cold 73 degrees when I went. Feels like bath water

odds are you will never wear a spring suit in oahu. unless its a shorty style. a 2 mil top should be sufficient. I despise being cold and thats the most i ever wear in regards to warmth.

your top should be enough and can double as sun protection.

invest? they are like 50 bucks and there are cold-ish days, I wear a top when its cloudy and raining, a spring suit isnt a bad idea, but I prefer trunks and a top

What is a spring suit? Pardon my naivete, but I'm new to this ball game. Though I have seen Point Break five times.

Please guys don't start at me because I don't know certain things.
