this movie has it all! Absolutely love it, watching it now! What's your favorite documentary about SURFING???????
preach. we can watch surfing competitions/vidoes if we want to watch everything surfing and no talking about surfing
There was one with surfing from the 70s with Lopez and buttons that was really cool. It came out in the last ten years, I forget the name. Had a colorful cover
lol...I referenced "chasing giants" in the hate thread. Chasing Mavs and Riding Giants....both good movies. Thanks for getting me straight hanna.
I agree. Docs are better than music video style ones. That would be sweet. Do tell us if you remember which one it is. Single Fin Yellow is cool and so is Morning of the Earth.
Dogtown and the Z Boyz. It captured the changing of the times - totally anti establishment, rad skating, core surfing, punk living. Lords of Dogtown was just a Hollywood glam remake of the original documentary.
one part of the movie when EMILE HIRSH removes the carburetor from the valley dude's car and tosses into the ocean! CLASSIC LOCALS RULES EXAMPLE!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JI5NmMUIEIM Nah these kids are extreme......dudes hanging off cell towers makes my heart race
The wing suit stuff was cool as hell. When that dude went through the two rocks with only inches to spare, wow, just wow!
for a documentary style, either riding giants or the original endless summer...something about that classic flick makes me smile. for regular music/clips -thicker than water is good, but I prefer september sessions more. Shelter is pretty good too.
