This is the other thing you do, kid - - you get schooled & then you wheel & say no one knows what they're talking about. People (managers, employers, anyone who still surfs with you) probably go for the figurative jugular with you in your life, simply because you have no humility & don't know how or when to admit that you've made an error. It's a millennial affliction 'cause mummy & daddy told you were always right

    Cannon fodder, as I mentioned.

Onward & upward in 2017, young Towel, index funds are the way & the truth! The miracle of compound interest!

    Projecting again, sweetheart ^^

I'm doin' just fine, and so will Zippy - - as long as he pays no mind to people like you who have no experience in the game, and thus do not know of whence they speak.

Your posts are like Froot Loops: empty of anything of nutritional aspects. And also verbose, sweetie. Which is ironic, since you say nothing of value.

You're the person that would be hell on earth if trapped next to on an airliner or, worse, in a golf tourney. I think I'd intentionally drive the cart into a water trap just to end the day as early as possible. And thank the lawd for headphones on airplanes.

    Besos!

    ^^Not at all, sweetie,

but since you mentioned golf tournies, etc., I will share that granddaddy was a scratch golfer (just a hobby). Upon retirement, he was treasurer of the board for a certain entity and used to set up tournaments at different CC's across the SE. Although I now own a fine set (my grandmother's), I have never once used them to swing at a golf ball, but I did play at putt putt a few times, when younger. Back then, my skill was tearing up the greens at the CC's, via going a bit wild behind the wheel of the carts, when nobody was looking. I did get in trouble for it one time, but since everyone liked being around me, it was only a serious reprimand, lol.

As far as verbosity, you certainly win, and due to such, I simply speed read your posts (no offense intended, of course). :)

Nice try on a backtrack there but it didn't work. Of course, you're not one of those suckers that pays somebody 4%. And of course, it's not anybody's business what you do. Except for the fact that you go around blabbering aboot what you do all day long on this phorumme.

I really appreciate everything said in this thread. It helps me to see the back and forth to get a rounded understanding of the subject. Or at least it's a good beginning of understanding.

I would prefer to see more photos of your pigeons. I find the subject matter much more intriguing.

Here are my pretty antiques. :)

Geez, I'll have to search for some of them. For some reason they are not on my iPad anymore. So those clubs are rare collectibles? I ask because we had at least 20 old clubs when my dad bought his house. They were woods with wooden shafts I'm guessing from the 30s. When I visited my dad one weekend I asked where the clubs were and he said he threw them all out. That was back in the seventies. He also threw own 5 pairs of wooden skis!

I am not the one to answer your question about any clubs, which is actually pretty funny, since many within my family have always been avid players. I only recently told my father I wish to learn, but he says I have to go to the driving range, first (and I have no desire to do that). I have the entire set, and they are simply sentimental to me, but I think the clubs are the prettiest. I seriously doubt they are of any high value now, and if not, they will be, one day.

I would love to see any photos of your pigeons, as well as read detailed stories about your experiences with them. I do not know anything about pigeons. If you have video, that would be great!

It's an investing tread, hag. And you've jacked yet another tread that has some good info in it (none from you) like the slotroll that you are. Sitting there in your cube at the cube farm, what a waste of oxygen you are.

Oh hush Yankee, you luv my posts. Zippy is the one having first mentioned pigeons within the thread, not lil ole me. He has made me interested in pigeons, and so I typed Pigeons into YT, and this was the first result!

Hey Zippy - your question was answered on the first page by Yank and Barry (and pkovo and JayD later on). Not sure what the rest of this thread has devolved into...

If you're interested in paper trading I'm sure you can find an app for that. Personally, I've just used Google Finance and entered the stocks/amount/price and followed my "investments" that way. It's a decent way to track the stocks you like and actually keep a record of how much you would have made or lost.

If you actually want to get into small time trading, take a look at the Robinhood platform/app. I signed up but never committed any actual $$ to it. It's marketed as offering free stock trading so you're not getting hit with a fee for every trade. I can't really vouch for it though so do your homework before you jump in.

    Good luck
