Back to getting the pad stuck to your board- by buddy says he always uses super glue and actually sands the area a little too... I have never tried it- never had a problem applying a new pad
who the **** cares who uses pads or not. Also the guy asked a question that maybe opened him up to some ridicule but then the dropknee douche fairy started calling him a kook and that he cant surf real waves. Really? you don't even know him.
So what?! I've read plenty of his posts and he seems like a genuinely cool cat. I guess if you know him personally feel free to flame away if you don't like him. Call me crazy I like people who are optimistic and eternally stoked.
What are your thoughts on Maxi Pads? How do you install them? Do people mistakenly refer to them as tampons? Should we call tampons tarpons?
Lol FYI there was no instruction needed on how to apply the pad itself. That's a no-brainer. My one question was if it would stay stuck taking it out right after putting it on. This is not the first tail pad I applied but the first I charged with minutes after application. That's all dis tread was about, that and comments were welcome regarding the use of additional adhesives, which I most always use but just didn't have any on hand. The surface obviously needs to be stripped, cleaned with solvent, then lightly scuffed for best adhesion. Everyone who's painted anything or adhered objects to each other around the house or industrial setting knows this. Although they are good to remind about when we are discussing this. To the über noob to SI (likely another poster's alter ego), your commentary on me not paddling out at all is laughable. In the last 7 days alone I've surfed Newport Beach Jetty, Honeyton North Pier at low tide 4-6', Pacifica Beach at 5-7', and the home break twice at chest to OH+. That's in last week bro. No bragging, just helping you along in looking like a fool but you're doing great at that already.
See u don't get it dude you're such a KOOK. I'm sure you didn't ride one wave on all that adventure? Be honest dude did you ride a wave?
Okay... pickle it, and use adhesive remover like metard said in like the 2nd post. if you dont have that, use gasoline. ive heard a rumor it works but havent tried it. IF its impeccably clean when you put the pad on, you can surf on it almost right away. Press it on really tight though, esp on areas where the board's shape curves rapidly near the rear block. hehehe press it really tight on the rear block hehehe
Dude- spicoli pretty much runs this place. I'm not sure who you are. But spicoli is an awesome dude with some good vibes- so he's ok In pretty much everyone's book. I'm not sure of his surfing abilities- but it doesn't even matter, cause we where all there at one point. Anyways- he's the man- just saying.... You can stop trolling now.
Runs this place. You mean lives here . Just tell him the Cali "bra" talk is a lil much . Oh and tell him his moms kooch smells like my wetsuit after sitting in a pile for 3 days
Jealous that I surfed mad waves over 5 sessions in SoCal/SF/EMass in the same 7 day period? I'll send you a postcard in two weeks when I'm back out there. Just give me the address to your homeless shelter brah. Me. BelMar, preciate the respek. Same to you son. Let's not waste out keystrokes on these mega kooks. They don't even know how to spell SI or what a Hello tread is.
Spicoli, haters gona hate homie. I personally don't care if you surf where you say you do, or if you had some pad troubles...haha. You're still a broski in my book.
Burn . I'm actually beginning to have a soft spot for emass . He keeps pushin thru the haters like me .
