"The Independent newspaper reports that there is a notice in the cafeteria of the Monsanto pharmaceutical factory is High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, advising customers "as far as practicable, GM soya and maize (has been removed) from all food products served in our restaurant. We have taken the steps to ensure that you, the customer, can feel confident in the food we serve."

    That's good news.

As far as US supporting Al Qeada, I wish it was BS. The US is supporting Syrian rebels. Those same rebels are burning down Christian churches and mosques. Also beheading Christians. It's only time that we learn about the ties between these rebels and Al Qeada. Remember the US created Al Qeada in the 80's to fight The Russian invasion of Afganistan.

"APRIL 27, 2012, APPLE RIVER, IL – The little town of Apple River in northeast Jo Daviess County, Illinois is the hometown of a big man - Terrence Ingram. Though not big in a physical sense, when it comes to saving the American Bald Eagle, there is hardly anyone in the United States held in higher regard than Ingram. His years of documented research and expertise regarding eagles and the work of the Eagle Nature Foundation, founded by Ingram, is in great part responsible for the bald eagle being removed from the “Threatened Species List “ in the United States.

Unfortunately, it was not his knowledge of eagles that the Illinois Department of Agriculture sought when they paid an unannounced visit to his home in March. It was his bees.

In the March 21, 2012 issue, The Prairie Advocate published a news release from Ingram that reported the theft of $5000 of his bees and bee hives on March 14. Ingram said that before they had left for their granddaughter’s wedding in Texas, the hives had been cleaned and made ready for new spring swarms."

I choose not to buy GM food, and I do my best to support local agriculture. There is a thousand legitimate reasons why I don't eat GM food, and just a few of them are that the crops, in many cases, are modified to resist pesticide use that could wipe out entire species of insects, which in turn could lead to other species and eventually, over a lengthy period of time, affect us directly without consumption of the crops we are growing. Not to mention those pesticides are covering the food you and I eat every day.

its all about sustainability, for the human kind, and the animal kingdom. balance is the only way.

That pretty much sums it up. Keep in mind that the health of our oceans is dependent on the health of terrestrial habitats and vice versa. Humans have degraded the land for a long time and its not slowing down but accelerating at an alarming rate. (i.e. the use of round up has doubled in the past 5 years and there is actually a global shortage of the stuff. The more we use the more we need because or resistance buildup) So, indirectly this is a surfing matter....Like they say, don't s#!t where you eat.

there's about a dozen raw foods that you should avoid. if you want to consume those foods at least search out non-GMO varieties. the others listed at the beginning are processed foods and should generally be avoided altogether.

but don't you know you cant post links to sites like that? brewdude will say its not valid cuz sites like that are conspiracy sites. :)

Did you ever read the posts on the comment section on that site? I had no idea there were so many crazy people in the world. They are ranting about satanists controlling the NWO and the Illuminati, then claiming god is the way to go. Christian conspiracy theorists... now I have seen everything.

I have no arguments that GMO may be bad for us, but some people are really taking this too far. BTW, even Snopes half assed research shows that article is BS: http://www.snopes.com/politics/conspiracy/monsanto.asp
Russia isn't happy about Syria. Monsanto isn't even on the radar right now. Don't you guys see that the conspiracy sites are using mind control on you, not the government. They know they can make up stories with no solid evidence, and certain people will suck it up and spread the stories as legitimate news.
