Got damn right, Emass...I think after all those long winded posts, you have finally hit it...and with a one-liner, no less.

    SI Gold, brother.

Not even Apple can correct Matt Johnson 100% of the time.
    Long live the legend!

Manisses, Makeitstop, emallspicoli...Thanks for the kind words. You men make me feel good, you are too kind.
    Really thanks, I appreciate it.
No exercises(getting fat), no pharmies, cheap beers yes:)o).......
Having some fun on here like we all should!!

In regards to tomorrow. I stand by saying don't call out it doesn't look worth it.

After thinking about it, this is what I would do if I felt I had to call out....keep it vague.

If you check it in the morning and you absolutely gotta surf call in, "something came up I need a day off"

That said it does not look like it will be good to call out IMO, it is going to be tidal and the wind will be eh. Won't be able to surf all day.

I surfed a little tonight mostly closeouts in CNJ. Little waist high closeouts.

    Factors to consider:
Is the surf good enough to warrant it? If it's like the pics DPSup posted yesterday in the Edouard thread, I'd say yes. If it's like the washing machine chop we had yesterday AM at VB, I'd say no.
How selective do you need to be in pulling the "get out of jail free" card or using such excuses as the sick relative, "feeling under the weather", car trouble, etc.?
How often have you done this in the past?
How serious do you take your job and your reputation at work?

From what I've seen, during deer season in parts of Pennsylvania and other places, there's a common understanding by many employers that workers will be taking a fair amount of time off. It's part of their culture.

You have a sight problem, you can't see yourself going to work. BWAHAHAHAHA Crack myself up

Seriously though, I did have a guy one time tell his work that his grandmother died and he had to go to the funeral, because he wanted to go down surfing. He made me come in and told them I was his brother (even though we looked nothing alike) here for the funeral. I said, I don't want that karma, so I am not even going to speak. In all fairness, it was highschool and it was McDonald's, but still, thats instant karma I wasn't messing with.

Update: He didn't call out and as far as I'm aware he hasn't **** his pants at work. More quadruple overhead Belmar artificial reef tubes for the rest of us.
