The video was nothing but the hipster dork doing the same move...over and over.

And the music sucked to boot.

 

Pretty bad when the music is the only art in a film.

 

Settle down brotha, I knew he was in the bay, I was joking. Maybe he is just tryin to show everyone how warm his wetsuit is and how much he loves it.

That really hit the fan with The Momentum Generation. Not only do they shred, but they are sensitive artist who write poetry in Ireland during magazine surf trips..

"The portrait of the young surfers as an artist......"

I hate to break it to everyone, but Danny Fuller isn't a freakin artist. And Kelly Slater isn't Jimmy Page or Robert Plant.

And photographers are all over-hyped anyway. You shoot a million photos and a few turn out ok. That's it basically. Press the button.

why u folks always hating on ben gravy?he really did surf the past few seshs without his hood on.i do not know why but he does.sure hes no Kelly slater or jjf,but id rank him same as someone like dusty payne or brett simpson.hes not the "look at meeee!!!!" kind of surfer,but whatever, u gents can have your opinions.as a fellow jersian I show respect to the ones who were fortunate enough to make it.i don't know if ben actually "made it" but I see him surf with everybody whos a somebody in nj,and I saw one of his nubtv pranks on cable television lol tru tv he probly doesn't even know bout it

Back to the video....

I could see someone in like Mississippi thinking it's cool- cause it looks like us here on jersey are surfing in ice water... But the truth be told- there are no waves in the backround of that ice water... Just some guy playing in the bay... Faking like he is a pioneer of cold water surfing.

Half of the better shots of waves had surfers with hoods off. I don't rememebr waves that size within the past month.

To top it off- with the suites these days- surfing in these cold temps is not even that bad- specially compared to suites 10/15 yrs prior and before... Really I can't rememebr one session in the last few years where I was literally shivering in the water. It's really not that bad...

So that being said... Yea the footage is kinda cool... Maybe they should have only had one ice scene... BUT more then anything- the whole thing is giving ppl a false interpretation of winter surfing in jersey...
