you also forgot after High school rent a place with you budds by the beach so you dont have to rack miles up in your car. I remember riding my bike from North cape May to CM point in the winter as a kid it sucked on the way home sometime it felt like my hands were frozen the the handle bars of my bike and getting over the bridge wanst easy either

Watch surf videos. I studied the **** out of Videos in high school. It works to. Watch the feet placement they have and how much the pros move their feet on a wave and in what sections they move their feet. It's time to pick up a skateboard, bro! Ca'mon man get yourself a pool deck with semi hard wheels and powerslide every little bank, sidewalk, driveway, street in your hood. I got so good at powersliding in high school I could do a 180 powerslide without moving. It does help. Plus there's no need for gym membership. That's bs. Do pull ups, push ups, sit ups, and stretch and you're golden. I'm telling you - study the crap out of the videos; either on YouTube, swellinfo, surfline, or actual videos, it did help me. Stay amped

Call up Greenlight and have him ship you a kit.

I built my first board in high school during a flat spell.

Matt: I used to live in Bayshore West, just behind the ice cream joint on Town Bank Road. Used to ride my bike to surf in CM, and yea... that WCM bridge was a bear on the way back.... usually late for dinner.

    options

get in with the local crowd of 17 and 18 year olds who are driving out for these swells. Hell, you may even get peer pressured into having the time of your life!

    or

Get a girlfriend who drives. An older fatty if you have to, jump on the grenade to get yourself some barrels hahah!

    or

or go grand theft auto on this B!tch- steal a car, buy a hooker, beat her up and get your chedder back, and head for the coast!

Do you have the proper wetsuit gear?

Also, you can make an indo board for about $10 at home depot.

thanks for all of the tips, I'm getting a new 4/3 drylock in early spring when I can go out.

Also, no one really here surfs or bodyboards at all, lol no one I know. A few people I know have shore houses but its kinda bland since they dont really do anything down there.

a car is the main thing im trying to work on right now, and I also need some new gear and it will be tough since Im only about 4 months away

then this is your last winter of no surfing. By this time next year you will be giving advice to other kids about what to do when their bored and can't get to the beach. Just don't mess up on getting yourself a car, insurance and enough cash for gas.

Tell your parents that surfing is your therapy. It definitely is my therapy and I'm sure many others. Ask them if they would rather you resort to drugs for therapy or to go surfing.
