Im 6 foot tall 167 shooting to weigh 175 pounds. I live in oahu and surf white plains on all days i surf 5-7 days a week and i plain to start surfing diamond head soon. im currently riding a 6'6 northern alliance plasma cutter will attach a picture if needed. Im looking at either a pod dumpster diver or neck beard. Im looking for a smaller board open to boards othere than the ones im looking at i do prefer quad fin though. I am a better tha average paddler according to my freinds. and i would rand my self inbetween novice and intermidiate i can catch waves i can turn and im getting to learn the ocean fairly well. Im looking for a board i can ride both spots but i mostly surf white plains and i go no matter the conditions. any suggestions and sorry i ramble.

I guess my advice and suggestions would be:
-dont try to gain 8 pounds
    -improve your spelling
-if you want a board for Diamond Head and White Plains, ask the people that you are surfing with there alredy 5-7 days a week for what works in those local conditions.

I'm just messing with you dude. Maybe if i was 6 foot 167 I'd be trying to put on a few extra.

Those boards all seem like good boards for smaller soft waves. Seems like with all of the local shapers out there that probably know every inch of that reef, you could do better than an off the rack Channel Islands, and save a few bucks at the same, while supporting a local business.

idk man, if you're surfing 5 days a week right on the SW shore of Oahu you should be able to get info on local shapers just sitting in the lineup talking. Look for the old local guys - they'l know.

ask around your local surf shops, or on a more hawaii-centric surf forum.

my question is WHY are you trying to gain that weight? what are you hoping to, um, gain from being heavier?

Im trying to gain weight for asthetic reasons i look almost sickly skinny at my 167 with 10% body fat. 175 is the end goal being 175 at 8% bodyfat. do u know who shaps chronic boards i saw one today at a repair shop i was at.

Chyeahh right, brah. Then surfing would be like my "job" or something. No way I could just go out and just surf and have fun if that were the case. You mean they're talking about paying people to surf? Having them call it "work"? Ridiculous. That's like paying people to ride bicycles all day, or skateboards. Ridiculous. This thing is going to be a financial and cultural disaster. Professional surfing? Think about it. That's just dumb.
