haven't heard anyone mention them, but at the drive in kills it. also all the old stuff from thrice, Thursday and modest mouse are good for getting pumped up.

Try this, his name is Will Evans. He's from CT and lives in RI now and surfs frequently between concerts. He used to be a part of as band called Barefoot Truth, that broke up in the summer of 2013. Really good guitarist and is currently at a guitar center guitar battle thing to try to get more attention. Really good artist and a really nice guy. He does concerts throughout New England. Okay that was some good slide playing but it furthers my point. He is playing a single kick drum just like Mumford and Sons. He has some good guitar chops but your first link was to a crappy pop love type song. Kind of reminds me of John Mayer. That dude can play some blues (check out his Trio if you have not) but then puts out tons of top 40 crap. Still think he is a "flavor of the month" kind of artist.
