Not a dad, but nonetheless I got myself a Father’s Day gift. Picked up a 1968 9’4” Hobie w/ a glass on for a fair price. Pretty stoked on it. Thing is a straight up tank, heavy duty. Looking forward to riding on a little piece of history.
Will definitely try to get a shot of her maiden voyage. I’ve ridden plenty of logs, but nothing glassed this heavy. The good news is that I will plow through just about any and everyone in my way.

I watched that interview last night. It was awesome. When he spoke I could almost visualize his experiences. What a time to be a surfer. I have a few resin touch ups I gotta do before she gets wet, but best believe I’ll be back on this tread with some shots or vids.
Mike Tabeling was a great surfer ,used to see him and Propper at the lighthouse in Hatteras ,whew that was a few years ago
