Going on a trip in June and need to decide soon. I have never been to Indo before and have no idea where I should go. If anyone has information on the better place for waves or general experience let me no. Im going for approximately 7 days so I hope i score waves. Sumbawa looks awsome ( lakey peak , supersuck, periscopes) but West Java also has a variety of good waves from what im seeing!?
I'm not sure Indo is a trip you should do for just 7 days. Went to Sumatra in 2007 out of JFK. I think our flights were about as convenient as you can get, and travel time with layovers was close over 30 hours each way. We went for two weeks...three days lost to travelling, 11 days of surfing, the waves were incredible, but i just dont know if i'd go If i onlyhad a week. Its a REAL HAUL getting there and you're waiting pretty late to start making plans.
