That being said: Give surf lessons,bartend, barback, life guard, badge check (let everyone on free) special 1 police officer, work on a commercial fishing boat or day trip boat, pizza delivery (right town, right night = $$$), Intern in a field you are persuing your degree (you might not get paid, but the experience is usually good), start a landscaping business, start a new surfing forum...

i did this for 10 summers in high school, college, & just after...made great money, got in really ridiculous shape, got to play in the water all day (if you're on the right beach w/ the right partner, you can bodysurf all day long...), met a ton of chicks, parties, etc... if you're a younger guy or between jobs during the summer, i would say that this is the ultimate summer job.

Plenty of places hiring in the summer. You got pizza joints, Depending on where you are in Monmouth County you could probably find work in Point at Jenks somewhere on the Boardwalk in one of the stands or something. A lot of places in Manasquan, Belmar, and Long Branch are hiring. You can see about getting a job in one of the Arcades. Beach Patrol is good, but it seems there are a lot of politics in some towns with that though. If you are 21+ you could get a bartending job or something at The Osprey or one of those bars that isn't open year round.
