Speaking of summer surfers..... Am I (or you) a dik if you snake a dudes wave that is there with his lady friend teaching her how to surf? I been lootin right and left this week and wondered this.....don't really care either way, just lookin for consensus
No Not at all. As a matter of fact he can use you as a prop . as in... Hey that guy just snaked your wave Or .. he's a snake... The only time you might be a dik is if you snake his lady friend!

summer surfers mostly migrate to "protected beaches" like springlaake and Belmar.still the same up here in the north,i see the same people I saw in January.would be a lot cooler if we had some canes..some hurricanes,cocaines....
its funny how I pray for little crowds! this goes back to Christmas shopping, parking the car in a busy lot! I just hate fugging crowds and I feel selfish and don't care! funny thing is, I'm still surfing like a kook and improving all the time, trying real hard too! trying to stay in shape at 50 and I surf alone! not by choice. no one I know here in New England has the balls to take this amazing journey! fugg em! its all mine, and yours! peace!!!!!

Ode to the ol summer pros! Is it me- or does surfing not seem as popular this year- the crowds are here, but not as bad as I remember??? Also- funny story, I was out the other morning at a spot that I surf very often- but not many other people do - so there's another guy out- I'm paddling out and don't recognize him- but I say hi and act friendly and start a conversation. Turns out this guy knows everything about this spot- how the swell direction today is perfect here and this is the only spot that it works ect ect ... I'm thinkingt in my head- funny I don't every remember you surfing here and I'm here almost all the time, specially all winter. I didn't have the heart to say anything- he was a nice guy and didn't hog the peak. And it was just the two of us... Not your normal summer pro but pro non the less
