Summer Swell/Weather Predictability

    This thread is to true. Winter swells are usually always correct 3 days out and hardly change. Since the end of May, the wave size forecasts have changed for the next day on a daily basis. I see this everyday. I thought it would stay the same at least once but that's not the case. Is it that weak wind swell changes a lot during a shorter time period compared to large winter storms?

    starting around may most swells are smaller and weaker and less frequent and don't last.
    waves pop up here and there from time to time and you have got to check it constantly to get it good or just happen upon it.
    a lot of the small swells of late spring through summer are not easily forecast correctly.
    bigger more powerful swells from true lows are much more precisely forecast.
