As of now, were looking chest to head high stuff for the morning, then dropping in the afternoon as the winds shift sw/wsw. if the winds shift more w/nw then, you'll clean up, but its looking iffy (maybe late day). There's a lot of SW in this swell, so unfortunately, a lot of this energy sweeps by myrtle beach.
head to pawleys island the place to be sunday is down at pawleys....if you are willing to make the 30 minute drive from myrtle it should be well worth it. get there early and check the inlet at the far south end of the island. i'd bet it will be well over head. also check the Jetty's on the middle of the island, just south of the pier. i'm going to check about getting on the north side one of the jettys and seeing if it will block any of the wind. once the afternoon comes and the wind starts shifting offshore, it will clean up super nice. i would check the pier or stay at the jettys. the pier should be breaking pretty nice and way outside by late afternoon because it will get really deep and there is a nice bar there. But the best place to be for mid to late afternoon is going to be back at the south inlet. The tide will be pushing in and with the offshore wind it will be big and hollow. Pawleys southend on a S swell with offshore winds is probably one of the best, if not best spots from Wrightsville to Folly. Hope this helps.
ya, pawleys, should handle the swell and wind better than up north at MB. Let us know how you make out.
Super fun little wave at wrightsville on sunday Dawn Patrol had a really good session kinda crowded, but crowded with cool, chill people
