Anyone ever use the seaspecs/silverfish and which do they prefer. Can you see clearly with them after you duckdive?

My sea specs are awesome. They are prescription. Without them I can't see. I strap a neon color floatie thing on the strap so ican see them if I lose them in a bad wipeout, which only happened twice. They will save your eyes from radiation. Friend/surfer got melanoma of the eye. It got my attention.

Can you see through them when wet? I'm just thinking it would like looking through a car windshield when it's raining with no windshield wipers. You can't see anything. That's my only concern.

I've been thinking about getting these for a long time. My eyes are really light sensitive and sun is right in my face in the morning. Reflection of water is really brutal especially when sun is straight in front of me, which is in the morning. My eye sight also sucks, but I think I'm going to order regular ones just to see how they work before ordering prescription.

Yes, I totally see through the wet lenses. The trick is that when you get home put a dot of baby shampoo on front and back of lenses, smear it all over, rinse and then air dry. Then keep your fingers off the lenses cuz your finger oil messes them up. If you have trouble mid sesh, which occasionally I do, spit on them and rinse on ocean.

All my surfing Betties use them and love them except one. She said it hampers her vision for some reason.

I also, like you, ordered non prescription first to see if I liked them. Then ordered prescription. What a shock to be able to see the wave coming so clearly, to see faces, marine life etc. The SUPers all looked like giant wasps before I got the prescription ones. So I still call them wasps.

FWIW, I bought a pair of Peppers polarized sunglasses that float. Lightweight lenses and frames with foam in the ear pieces. Not the greatest pair of sunglasses, but for $35, worth it for longboarding.
