On my recent trip i picked up a big a$$ wind surfing board for free that a friend had and wasnt usng. I'm thinking I'll try it in pepper creek (off indian river) as a stand up paddle board or maybe fart around in the ocean with it this weekend since there are no decent waves yet. Anyone know where i can pick up a paddle for cheap? or ideas on how to make one? I have a canoe paddle, but it's kinda short. I was thinking about modifying it...
Will i have any issues on the board since it wasn't "built" for SUPing?
Never done it before so open to ideas. Just trying to broaden myself as a waterman.
    Thanks in advance.

i would not try and make a paddle i would just buy one , the paddle is really the most important part, if you not carefull you can mess your back up and blisters on your hand, and if drop it you need it to float , and if the board is that big its going to be even more work to paddle with and its not going to be very responsive when surfing , but it still sounds fun

Got a paddle from the kayak/paddle shop in Bethany on rt 26. They were trying to get rid of some stuff, and gave me a good deal. It was alot of fun paddling around the river, ready to try it out on some waves.
