Painting/Decorating my 4 yr old son's room and was thinking of doing some sort of a surf theme. Any good ideas out there or products? Not looking to break the bank so a lot of the Pottery Barn stuff is off limits.

    Thanks

see if there are vinyl stickers for your theme. i often give this option when a clients jaw drops at the price for children room murals. there are plenty to buy ready made or you can have your own custom one made. they do not hurt the wall and can be changed as the child grows.

"allposters.com" has endless summer posters as well as other surf posters. start there and build around that.

I'm not sure where you located, but you should check out Ronnie Jackson's Carvin Art. Some awesome surf themed art and I know he does murals. Definitely worth checking out, and no I am not Ronnie Jackson.

Hilly nailed it. Custom wall sticker (the size of the wall). All my friends with kids are getting them and they are totally awesome

Do you have any artistic friends who would do some painting for a case of beer ? One of the places i used to live i threw a art party where all my artistic friends got a wall they could paint whatever on under a certain central theme. It came out really awesome.

I picked up a used area rug shaped like a longboard for my daighters room rather cheaply from a surf shop. Once I shampooed it, the thing was like brank new. Looks really fat too.

If you like certain music bands like Pearl Jam for example, many of their concert posters are surf themed. There are many ways to go with hip art surf stuff. Also if you travel to any place like Costa Rica, tons of surf stuff on canvas for very cheap. Another option is great surf shots brought into Photoshop adding effects or textures and have them printed.
