About a month ago, I was out on a chest-head high day, and this dude was repeatedly dropping in on me, not just snowballing, but full on drop in and surf in front of me. This went on for about five waves before I confronted him. This dude was my brother!!! I told him I didn't mind a party wave once in a while, but said how I was having a great time while he was about 20 yards south of me, and that just because I was his brother did not give him the right to drop in on every f#$%ing wave I went for. He stopped. I was kinda pissed that I actually had to say something.

I've shouted/whistled off the occasional shoulder hopper if I think he didn't see me back in the pocket (or was planning to play that card), and have on the rare occasion (when it is about to hit/decapitate me otherwise) grabbed the nose of a shoulder hopper's board and pushed him back off the wave.

As his brother you are well within your rights to punch him in his head

Hahaha, the last time we had a knock-down drag out (or any kind of fight) was about 35 years ago, when we were both still in High School, and (me) the little brother finally caught up to big brother in size. We are only about 1.5 years apart, and are really close now, and surf together as often as possible.

I'm generally a peaceful person, but have a long, slow fuse with a big charge on the end.

If you surf at first street you are asking for it. Sad but true.

I hear ya, I haven't fought with my bro since we were kids, he's older than me but doubt he would try it these days. Besides, we don't get into like we use to. We live in different states so we hardly see each other enough to argue or anything, and he can't surf so he wouldn't be able to drop in on me haha

francine, the only thing liberal is the liberal amount of asspons you jam up your bunghole every morning in your futile attempt to stop the oozing from your previous night's Deliverance action on the docks.

The only mustaches that you see, michellejunior, are the massive hairs looming in your face as your multiple boyfriends jam their bumpy, pustular, oozing, grotesque schlongs into your gaping gash located below your nose.

Ms. JR your liberal use of the word liberal is eerily similar to what I see when I read threads where mindless sadists disagree with anyone who opposes the wolf hunt.

I need to start using the real term (progressive). Liberal has been used up beyond recognition. Advice noted and heeded

Jr your drivel seems all to familiar, do you "hunt" sharks by chance?

Why are you even compelled to post ANYTHING in a 'surf etiquette' thread. You are less than a year in to the surfing world. You don't know d!ck.

At best, this point in your surfing experience you are maybe getting nods from the locals at your home break. As they may recognize your sh!t show by now, if you've been showing up regularly.

I wish to all things good there was a way of you and I being in the same place at the same time. That way you could see how quickly you would get regulated to the scraps, while the REAL surfers take all the peaks in front of you.
