I'm all for progression but they should scrap Rio instead of a bonafide world class surf spot, not to mention how they scrapped Fiji.

My buddy is the sole orthopedic surgeon for the naval air base in Lemoore, CA. He was assigned there from his training program in San Diego where he used to surf all the time. Now, there's a literal tube factory right down the street from him but he can't surf it because it's not open to the public yet. How's that for irony... Let him in, Kelly!

They can make it really exciting and turn it to salt water and add a great white. Kelly can add the Jaws shark that bumps you off in the wave face if you don't bottom turn at the right time to miss the shark.
Wow...haven't seen that picture since it was a cover shot for SURFER back in mid 60s. That was of course, when SURFER was actually a surfing magazine, and not a thong magazine (which I prefer, actually).
