So I've noticed that the surf report for basically the entire coast of NC has been way off lately. What's up with that? For example, the last week swell info has been showing a ground swell that's bringing in waist to chest but it was flat almost every day except one. Just wondering if something mica did changed up the formula or something because it used to be spot on.

Micah sold SI to Monsanto. Must be their formula

Forecasted to be "clean" here in NH--SE winds and chop....far from clean.

It's the new holiday format to get you pumped up for the inevitable let down.
Check the webscam and other sites. Bah-humbug!

I saw rollers on the cam up north (Higgins and Gooch), but the wall cam was and high tidechoppy. Summer Sessions cam is down for Rye it appears. Whats the link to all the NH cams? I believe there is another cam for Rye over by the houses?

By 10 it had lost its shape up north, though it looks like its rebounding. Textured sets are coming in right now.

I am heading to secret ninja points north to see if I can get some lonesome shoreys.

Yea- Micah sold us all out to some other company

Basically Micah abandone us - took the money and ran.

The reports here today are fairly close, given the swell period and size. It's waist hi in nj

Does anyone find Surfline worth paying for in NE? The free forecast isn't much use over there which is why I like SI.

No, it is worthless, and, I am being serious for once. The one exception would be IF you travel a lot to surf. Then...maybe....but wayyyy maybe.
Having said that, even if you do travel, the cams seem available, and any forecast past 2 days is basically worthless no matter who you get it from.
    just opinion, of course....

Same down here. Forecast called for 4.8 feet at 13 seconds. I WISH, although today was fun, nowhere near that...

I will say this. I love SI but today Surfline had it more accurately forecasted here. SI was saying chest to head w/slightly overhead sets. Surfline said waist to chest, and that's what it was with a few head high sets sprinkled in. Definitely thought it would have been bigger today but I will take it.

    ARE YOU FREEAKIN SERIOUS??

Dude, I am so sorry that some website surf report was not correct.

There is no excuse in this day and age. We come here expecting that dudes, who grew-up in Central Pennsylvania, and started a gimmick on the internet, has failed you.

Y'all are all suckers, those who live-and-die by this stuff.

Yeah, totals cool to just check things and get an idea of what days to do some real research.......

But to totally depend on dudes from landlocked states for surf predictin needs is insane.

The dude grew-up near a river..oh yeah he went to the U of D for wave predictin ability.

And there's dudes on here from JAZIP who think Micah Sklut knows their coastline intimately. And the dudes who say, " He nails my spot..., " Don't surf with ANY FREQUENCY. Doubt that....., huh?

    I bet ya.

This whole surf predictin website thing is a scam. The middle-aged gremmies just don't know any better.

The east coast is real, real hard to figure out.

But I've explained the simple formula too many times.

I pay for Surfline even though the forecasts are often off. I like the ability to see the cam continuously rather than just for a few minutes, especially on a day where I am grounded. It's nice to watch the waves, spot surfers out there that look familiar and so forth.

    Boo hoo.

Gas up a car, take a drive, crank up the tunes, smoke some jah, if there's no surf you got out of the house. If there is, hopefully you're not too wasted to paddle out. It's a balancing act, much like the actual thing of standing on the top of a surfboard for a bit while it moves along the wave. Watch out for the po po too on this holiday week!!!!!!!!! Oh by the way....if you cant find waves this week go kill yourself. And post pics.

I was out on Sat on long island and it said waist to occasional chest. It was nowhere near that I can assure you. Go before you know seems to be the play
