Anyone on here associated with Surfrider foundation? Seems like a pretty legitimate organization. Also, saw this on their website: http://surfrider.org/pages/smartfin A fin that collects data for researchers at Scripps. Sign up for a potential free pair of futures! Surfrider***
Bad foundation or what? I was trying to do a good thing here. Spoke with a couple guys involved in it in my local area last summer, seemed like it was a good thing...
In the 80s! Fought for beach access for a lot of you's clowns. Wake up dude, join and get your free sticker today!
Nice Don Q! I'm all about coastal preservation so I figured what the heck. I'll take free stickers too, always good to have a few for unexpected dings.
Don't let me stop you, if you feel good about it then that's all that matters. I just don't trust large large organizations of people in general. Non-Profits 9/10 times are anything but. Take Susan G Komen for example. The big pink money machine. Just one man's opinion is all.
I get it. Any charity affiliated with states gotta be vetted so I knew it was somewhat legit. 80+% going to efforts of the program seems pretty good to me.
Don't believe everything you read / see. Not saying those stats aren't legit but not saying they are either.
I support them. No nonprofit is perfect. They do good and are focused on something I care about, protecting and preserving our ocean, beaches & waves. Plus I got this b!tchin' license plate!
Blocking private enterprise and promoting the myth of man made climate change. No thanks. If they stuck to beach clean ups and fighting local city councils for beach access I'd be all for them but the other activities ruin it for me.
If you want to do something charitable, then do something charitable. Don't pay an organization to do it for you.
I have one of their t shirts, solid white lite blue logo, looks good with navy shorts.. they clean up local beaches here quite a bit
yea I would, don't normally see them, the actual surf breaks are policied well by locals and clean...but if the waves are breaking further down near where the horde of scoobies sit... its what you see when you go out for a morning session or late evening session or a walk... the effects of massive tourist infestation with no regard for where they are vacationing,,just glad they are gone..summers are a pain anymore here, practically sprained my wrist trying to avoid a kid and their parent that stepped right into my line as I was flying coming in they weren't there when I got on the wave glanced back up they r just standing their like fence posts
