Awd really? This thing looks like a queermoblie and I would slash the tires of even if it was my best friends car. .this vehicle doesn't deserve to be one the road. What did the designers of this do eat of bag of shrooms and merge van and sedan together. Awd cars are crappy and get suck in the sand all the time. Why can't vw just remake the bus and make it 4wd. I bet this thing is fuel efficient too? Mine as well get a rainbow paint job and open a tofu store with all the gas money you will save.

Looks like competition for Honda's Element. Seems odd since I dont think the Element sells all that great.

I'll stick to my Honda Accords.

They did, search vw syncro. It was an underpowered flop. Worthy of 10gs of engine and suspension upgrades. Volkswagen has yet to produce a vehicle that is reliable.

I don't think I'll ever buy anything but a toyota again. Love mine. I'd live in that concept vehicle, and the ramp option in the back? F'n perfect for dogs.

This is all I really want. With a trunk space like this and mileage around 32, what else do you need? Am I right?

^^ Will six foot boards with in that thing along with a passenger in the passenger seat?
Every time i look at one of those small hatchbacks they look like they have a TON of space in the back, but its not long enough to fit boards

Get a jeep or a f150 already, I'll save you the time and money. If you get over 18mpg your in the wrong. If you get anything else as a beach vechical your gonna have a bad time.

honestly, I dont really want a car newer than 98 or 2000 I feel like all the bells and whistles break. just gimme a stereo, a stashbox and an area where I can sleep/hold boards and 4wd and im good to go

a 4wd ecoline van (WITH WINDOWS) from 98-99 would be my fav

bummer Yota doesn do HiLux in the states, thats a golden piece

I have a 2004 Mazda3 hatchback, not my fav vehicle, but the price was right. I can fit a 9'6" gun diagonally from front to back, passenger is a little uncomfortable, but those hatchbacks can really pack it in. with one seeat down, 3 bros and all the gear needed can fit in the mazda 3

    longboard fits too, but tighter

That's why you say fugg it and get a suburban. then you fit all the boards you want, have plenty of leg room and still have room to sleep if you need to.

I can't see owning a new car either. Getting in and out in wet - wetsuits, sand, wax, etc.. I came close to getting a new truck a few months ago but when I weighed it out... it just doesn't make sense for my uses. I drive an old truck with leather. I don't have to baby it, it costs me $50/month for insurance... no car payment... it's common enough that parts are cheap when it breaks.. just makes sense
