    Dis swell is crazy bros. Anyone look at the NE/MidAtl chart right now? No blue or much green in sight. Even the deep orange is taking over (21ft). But then it's all gone by the AM? Is that because these winds were so local? Not sure if I recall swell this size receding so damn fast.

    Micah? Anyone?

    swells that build over or near the continental shelf encounter more friction from it thus
    degrade faster. also, relatively small fetch.

    fetch = swell direction + distance traveled + time of said travel + wind intensity

    or something like that.
    i like to think of fetch as a 4 sided concept.
