The waves aren't bad right now and it held thru high tide. It's worth going out for some fun waist high, occasional chest high waves.

Today was super fun in Md. Seems most everybody missed this one Waist high and bigger, fun, warm waves. I surfed alone with no one in sight for 1.5 hours. Had someone paddle out 500 feet down the beach for a half hour then leave just as the incomming push started. I got another 1.5 hours alone with one wave after another and offshore winds :D.

Didn't slip under the radar here, in fact it was unusually crowded. Just got back. So fun. Sizable chest-shoulder occasionally coming through. Definitely was under predicted.

Yeah, it was fun here too in NJ with some occasional nice sized sets. I love when the forecast is undercalled. People don't bother to check the waves themselves and rely just on the forecasts. I wish they would always undercall it and I could just surf all alone or with a few friends.

I got to assateague just after low tide and was greeted with consistent waist to stomach high waves with offshores. coudnt believe it. surfed almost 3 hours with noone out. water was super clear, i could actually see the bottom on the bar I was surfing. It was definately a nice surprise. Glad I got rained outa work this morning.

Swell filled in late in the day, and hit the shoulder to maybe head high range just before dark. Light offshores, good angle, but the tide was really fat.

Great way to wash off the day, though...

I know this is the 50th person, but I was also pleasantly surprised with today. Went out right around low tide for about an hour and a half and there were some solid peaks for sure. I would have stayed longer but I already felt very guilty for not working. Very glad I made the trip though, especially since there doesn't seem to be much lining up anytime real soon!:D

I kept watching the buoy report from work and decided to check it out. Glad I did. Scored 2 hours of waist to stomach clean sets after work with 2 other guys and one kook. This kid comes out in the water with a long board and no leash (which is ok if you know what you're doing) and proceeds to STAND in the inside and then he loses his board when a cleanup set hits and ends up chasing his board up and down the beach.

Oh yeah and his girlfriend was trying to take pictures of him on her cell phone.

just got back from a week in oahu, and surfed every day i was there. some better than others, but the water was warm, and i scored some good ones on the north shore. believe me i am content with not surfing for a few weeks just, because i had some really great waves last week. i'm also sick with something. i don't get into the ocean when i'm sick. i'm not looking too forward to stepping back into the 42 degree atlantic with too much rubber after being in 76 degree water. it's been fairly mild the last few days though. have to finish a lot of work to make my quarterly taxes the next two weeks. hoping to get out next week though on tuesday maybe for a few hours if i'm not sick anymore.
