ray why so defense over the kook gloves, calling me a coward and 400 pounds .it kinda sounds like you want me to post shirtless pictures , and this stuff about me going around telling girls i have alot surfboards and alot billabong's money is not really my style my wife would be pissed. & fyi: you've got a snazzy little beer gut to go along w/ your paddling gloves in that photo there. that's where all the "you're fat" comments came from. honestly, people MIGHT have been receptive to your advertisement if you hadn't gone postal over 1 comment about your paddling gloves (& just so you know, yea, they ARE the hallmark of a kook. it has nothing to do w/ being older or heavier...if it did, then hardly anyone has more reason to wear the things than my father-age 64 & still surfing a shortboard & traveling every year.)
but the fact of the matter is you joined JUST to post an advertisement. that's the whole reason you joined this community-to make $$. sad & pathetic. & when someone decided not to play your creepy little game of "show me yours, i've shown you mine," you spaz & post a pic of their "mom". what are you? 12? that's the kind of stunt i'd expect of middle school children. geeze, grow up! you look like you're in your 30's or 40's. be mature & act your age.
your cabina in costa rica is over-priced. (most) surfers aren't willing to drop that kind of cash just for a house.
i hope matt locks or deletes this train wreck soon.

 

i'm reasonably certain matt moderates this forum for free, like most mods do on most forums. if he gets paid, then good for him. he doesn't own the site...the guy w/ the handle "swellinfo" does.

& way to make assumptions about my "lifestyle" & my knowledge of the world. i'm a teacher working towards my master's degree. if i were "in it" for the money, i'd have gone a different route, but i was raised w/ the belief that money isn't everything or make you a good person. so while i make enough to life comfortably, i choose wisely how i spend it. 10 days in an over-priced condo at an over crowded beach break in costa rica or 20 days on an island w/ only 10-15 other people & countless waves to choose from? i'm gonna go w/ the latter choice.

i have never met matt in person. maybe we would get along, maybe we wouldn't. this is an anonymous message board. if someone thinks i'm a prick b/c i voice my opinion, then so be it. that's not really a big concern of mine. same goes for you.
