I made this out of some spare material. Opinions about the color...someone said since it had purple in it it is feminine? View attachment 15040

Yea fairly easy to make I couldn't see spending 37$ on one when I can make it for
    .99 cent

You did a nice job; I like the colors.
As for the feminine colors, tell those that say that to grow up and go puck themselves.
There is pride in creativity and craftsmanship.
And I direct this response to both frost and zeroevol. Both are nice.

Looks exactly like the Argyle socks from JC Penney's that my grampa used to wear, may he rest in peace.

That is the first surfboard sock I've seen that looks functional. The two I got were so tight it took too much effort to get the board out of the sock, so I gave up on them. Years ago. Can you get a board in and out of that one in the hot sun without a struggle when the wax is all melty? Or is my problem a southern thing?

I'm thinking this one will work better than most socks as it was actually a shower curtain so the material isn't stretchy at all ...is exactly the size I sewed it and won't budge ...as far as wax goes not sure I made this one for my 54 in beater board but I think the shower curtain slickness /compared to stretchy sock type material would help and the rings at top is what i laced old leather topsider/docksider shoelaces through to pull it tight overall as far as wax and any bag made I'd say give yourself some leeway width wise I glued Velcro at the top to make it more sealable and that gives you more room to slide a full board in close Velcro pull leather string its sealed

I second this ^^. Never been a fan of board socks, but you guys Z & Frost appear to have created functional winners.

I agree. Now you two even have me wondering if I should try to make a sock eventually, once I get the time to do so.
