Ahhh Nova Scotia..........It's no island paradise but there's something in the air up there......Canadians are cool as heck and the males don't wear skirts, well some might.

You know I didn't even read Erock's link, I just assumed that the kid got hit. And now I see that the kid didn't even get munched on, like a bag of MUNCHOS, the potato chips of champions.......

Man, Surfchic, you need a week's stay in South Philly to toughen you up a bit. Then a week in SW Philly, then a week in West Philly, and then finally the true test - a week in North Philly. We'll make a man out of you.

I'm just kidding with you Surfchic, relax. Get a pint of Kasser's premium vodka..........

You're a tool. And obviously an Ass.
She showed no disrepect for the ocean. Bulls are a species of shark commonly found around Charleston beaches. I know a guy who was knocked off his board by what he and the two friends he was surfing with believed to be a Bull Shark. Sure they could have been wrong.
Surfchic, there was nothing off base in what you said. Including in parentheses.
sandblasters you are the one who needs to "show a little respect"

suck it dude ive been a fisherman my whole life, 2 years from a marine bio degree, as others have said people people like to throw out bull shark when there are various species that look exactly like a bull shark some sharks have the same traits as others besides lets say alternate black markings on a pectoral fin or something. there for i think the attack was by a honey badger, little dude had a close call with danger i know ive been bumped by sharks, stepped on stingrays, had fins come at me and thousands each day have the same thing happen its not a big deal. ive have had run ins as early as 10 well come the ocean!

Yeah, the water down here in low country definitely has a sketch factor. I have been on the beach on a couple flat days where they cleared the beach on Hilton Head and there were a dozen fins out right off shore. I also see people, no joke, every single day catching black tips right off the pier on my restaurant. Every day... Havent had any situations while out surfing, which i do every time its more than ankle high here, but mix the hot as$ ocean water, 87 down here last i checked, the murkiness and the backriver shark breading grounds and South Cackilack has some big fishees swimming around... I did hear that the MD/DE actually has the highest number of sharks right off shore, but I also don't think there are as many people in the water consistently up there. I think there are a lot of people in the water down here 6 months of the year. Its like if you read the Maui shark attack from last week, the local authorities say that there are 11 attacks per year in the state of HI, but they also hold the world record basically for the amount of people in the water each month of the year. Also why Central Florida has the world record every year for shark bites.
