    Hello everyone,

I am a University student and I am currently doing a study that aims to to map the problem different people who perform various water-activities have with their ears. Surfers are one of the segments in this study, so I would be very happy if you guys took 1-2 minutes of your time to help me out!

Thank you very much for your help!

Just took your survey....very interesting. I'm not one to wear ear plugs in anyway, shape, or form and have surfed some nasty waters on the east coast and central america. Never had the urge to use them either and don't get infections...in the ear anyway. I have had many bacteria infections especially after heavy rains. No fun at all. Pisses me off that pollution can cause our water to be that dirty. Pray for surf!!!!

Took your survey man, good luck with your project.

The only time I have ever worn ear plugs was all the years I swam competitively, although I hardly ever wore them even then. Never really had a problem with ear infections because I always use an evaporant (rubbing alcohol/peroxide mix) after getting out of the water.

Took the survey, but look skewed towards earplug use, I thought there would be more stuff about infections and "surfers ear".

Any way, I almost had to stop surfing because of my sinus/ear problems, but Doc pro plugs have kept me in the water.

    I use alcohol :)

I used to get ear infections after swimming or surfing. I now put a few drops of alcohol in my ears after every time and it works great.

i took it but it looks like you might be trying to skew your data to support your hypothesis.

It's probably for an intro course. At least that's my guess.

Let's give the guy a little breadth and help him out....

    plug THIS in

Lose, vs loose....verb vs adjective. also, maybe an N/A choice in your earplug section for those who have no experience or opinion on the subject might help with your analysis.

    lycka till

Most of the time I don't use ear plugs. The one time I had a problem, I used the silicone ones and they kept the water out and were pretty easy to use. As a surfer, the more important issue is long term effects such as "surfer's ear" or infections from polluted water.
