so i am headed up to jersey soon to spend a week with my new girlfriend's family on the shore. i figure i might take her out for a little bit if its nice and small out. she has pierced nipples, is that an issue? my nips can get chaffed through a freaking wetsuit, i cant imagine what it would do just wearing a bikini top. is it better to take the piercings out? vasoline typically solves all of my chaffing issues, but this one might be a little different for her.

given the wetsuit issue you have and the thickness of it....seems like you should have her go topless to reduced the friction between skin and any kind of fabric

It's really no problem. I had hoops but they snagged every now and then . I've got bars now and I have no problems. She, like myself, will enjoy the stimulation.

Chafing can also be caused by improper or overly loose fitting clothing generating extra friction. Obesity is commonly thought to be the leading cause of thigh chafing, and in some cases losing body fat may help the issue, but the problem is just as noticeable in athletes with well developed quadriceps and people with tight bone structures. Chafing is quite prevalent among long distance athletes such as cyclists or marathon runners due to the extensive time periods during which the skin is in irritating conditions.

Chafing may be caused by the salt residue left behind after sweat evaporates. If sweat is allowed to dry, and exercise is resumed, the salt may intensify the friction and cause further irritation. Other contributing factors include hot weather, sensitive skin, sand from the beach getting into problem areas, and prior skin irritation.

Staying dry may keep the skin from developing further chafing, although this can be next to impossible in hot weather and requires avoiding exercise. Certain products such as baby powder, or antiperspirant may help with keeping the problem areas dry. An alternative to staying dry is lubricating the skin with petroleum jelly or other lubricants in order to reduce the friction and allow the body parts to glide without forming a rash. In many cases, however, especially those involving the upper thighs, clothing is the biggest culprit. Cotton clothes should be avoided as should anything with large seams. Sports focused underwear and clothing made from polyester, nylon or spandex can largely reduce or entirely solve the issue in some cases. Problems caused by salt residue from evaporated sweat can be solved by using wet wipes to clean problem areas before resuming exercise.

This article is about the nipple covering. For the type of pie, see pastie. For the type of pastry, see pasty. For other uses, see Pasty (disambiguation).

    Pasties.
Pasties (sing. 'pasty') are patches that cover a woman's nipples and areolae which are affixed with adhesive. Though pasties are commonly associated with burlesque and erotic entertainment, they are also at times worn more casually as an undergarment and occasionally as beachwear. As an example of rarer use, in the annual "Go Topless Day" protests in the United States, otherwise topless female demonstrators wear imitation nipple pasties over their own nipples, in case they are prosecuted.

staying in barnegat light, i dont know of any of the local breaks but would certainly appreciate a PM if no one wants to blow it up.

also, if anyone knows any surf shops there i could use a recommendation too. gotta get more wax and i could use a set of futures or FCS for my other stick as well.
