Um..just paddle in and take a puff from your inhaler in your backpack or car. hard to mess with zippers velcroe and buttons with >3mm gloves on. Plus you would want a tether system from the pack to the inhaler=Not worth it. As a child I had severe Asthma attacks and frequent nebulizer treatments. Started to taper off in my teens. Played many different sports and ran. After 17 I haven't had any attacks, but did use an OTC inhaler during a really bad session during RED TIDE. Good Luck

Asthma is a very idiosyncratic disease. I am happy you have "grown out" of it, but it may reappear once you are in your mid adult life, so be careful. As for the OP paddling in to take a puff, that does assume he is able to do so. Many times, asthmatics have a severe sudden narrowing of the airways, disallowing for the patient to travel far to get the albuterol inhaler. The OP should decide his own experience with the disease, and have a frank discussion about this with his allergist or pulmunologist. And, no matter how "mild" he may think his disease is, every patient should have at least one consultation with either of the above specialist; primary care docs, although wonderfully trained, aren't always up to snuff (no pun intended) regarding asthma and the nuances of the disease.
    Just opinion.

I don't have asthma that I know of,i might as it runs in the family, but I cant take deep breaths,i cough up flem all year round,it seems like a never ending cold.

for some inspiration just look at maya gabreira, the big wave surfer from brazil.she has asthma and she overcame it somehow, she still has it but it doesn't get in the way.shes also one of the few girls that can surf and shes beautiful, not hot but beautiful.
