On second thought, take her to San Francisco, show her the town, paddle out at Mavs, and drown. She'll worship you forever, and you won't have to remember your anniversary.
Someone said it earlier, "Happy wife, happy life". You better go some where she will enjoy! Take her snorkeling, candle lit dinners, feed the giraffe, sunset walks on the beach, etc. If you make this honeymoon anything about surfing and not you and her, you will regret it! If you have a chance to score a wave or two while you are there, consider it a bonus! But is she feels like you are planning your honeymoon around a surfing adventure, it will not go well! Good luck Shred II
I disagree I just got back from my honeymoon I surfed five hours a day and the wife snorkeled did culture things hiked and enjoyed the country. There are places that will satisfy both. You don't need to go to Florida with a Fannee pack and get fat you can stil enjoy your life
So, you two went on your honeymoon and you did seperate activities? If that is true, your situation is different and good for you! There are not many woman out there who want there honeymoon to be about their husband surfing while they just sit on the beach or whatever. PS. what's wrong with a fannee pack, I have 9!
Z does the fannee pack prevent having stuff tossed in the water? New guy, Is your GF high maintenence? Does she blow dry her hair and put on makeup to go to the beach? Does she even like the beach? Does she look good in a bikini? She does wear a bikini right? Does she ask you if her butt looks big in a bikini? Does it? We need to know these things to help you. Watch Old School wedding scene!!! Do it NOW!The one and only vaJJ for life unless she's open minded. Details.
She's not high maintenance at all. She does like the beach but doesn't like to just sit there and watch me surf (especially when its not summer). If she does go with me to the beach she usually just ends up running on the boardwalk. Anyway, she's down to go to Costa Rica but wants to be able to go into the jungle on a hike or safari or something...and swim with dolphins.
My wife and I honeymooned in CR many years ago. We both loved it. We booked a surf package that included a airfare,4 wheel drive vehicle, and vouchers to stay in numerous hotels up & down the coastline. The coolest non beach thing we did was a day trip to a volcano (Irazul I think) then a feast at a coffee plantation and a trip to an aviary. Was like 50 bucks each for the day. Any ways there is a lot you can do there depending on your preferences. I wish you the best.
you are in for a world of hurt she will change within the first year and you are scewed let your friends have at it , then thank them later for bailing you out of the nightmare does she even have her own $$$$$$ good luck
This is great advise! I didn't surf on our honeymoon- it wasn't about surfing, but spending time together. I think it worked out for the better, specially considering other friends stories. Now when there's waves (and we don't have major plans) she is always cool with me surfing. But if she feels that surfing is more important...well then, you could do the math. Hope the best for you! Marriage is a wonderful thing! I love my wife!!
