Any one ever given it a shot? There's a few breaks I've read about but they seem like they may be pretty inconsistent. Also hear it's very tide dependent, like 20 foot tidal swings. Heading up there tonight for some camping this weekend, with the little south pulse that'll be hitting eastern/northern Maine tomorrow, figured I'd bring the groveler and give it a go, but I need somewhere the small short-period swell will show. Tips appreciated, doesn't seem to be a robust surf scene up there.

the only place on the island would be sand beach and surfing is prohibited there. Take a hike, literally.

Probably real swell running when those guys filmed. Never been that far north in Maine, but it's on my list of places to see/surf. Amazing that they don't allow surfing at the sandy beach in a national park!
