Hey there!))) Has anybody here surfed in Morocco? We want to go to Agadir in April... Does anybody know what about wild camping there? We want to camp on the beach...or maybe in some cheap camping place. Can anybody help us with that? And what about temperature of water in this time? Should (and can) we buy wet suits there in Agadir? Thanks))
crowded in agadir! thats all I can say is spent a week there. tons of surf camps. if ankor point or anywhere gets good minimum 20 guys on it. if you can hire a local and do a road trip morocco is loaded with uncrowded spots but whether you want to do that or not is the thing.
of course we want! but the question is how to do that? just come and ask someone if he can show us uncrowded spots?..
i would not go to agadir. tons of english and europeans. if i were you i would research getting a local moroccan. the country is massive. i was stuck in agadir and anytime spots got decent it was crowded. I know this is not info you want to hear but its the truth. having said that if the swell were perfect I am sure we would have gotten good waves. the swell was a weird angle while I was there but I was shocked how many surf camps and europeans are all over the place. good luck moroccans are awesome though and the markets are super cool
One def should go south of Agadir in order to surf Morocco with zero crowed! if anyone interested in our great guided surf tours have a look at www.saharasurf.co
One of my employees in from Moracco. I have never been but I will see him today and I will ask for his thoughts. He lived in Moracco for 25 years before moving to South Carolina
My friend from Morocco told me some pretty solid info. He said as a traveling surfer, one of the best waves (he says in the world) is in a place called Essaouira. He said the waves are insane, its not that crowded and meals are around $3 each... He said its by far the best wave in the country.
The Agadir region of Morocco is one of the top locations to learn, improve or practice surfing… whatever your capability. Me and my wife visited there last month. I bought wetsuit £14 per day. Really enjoyed there!!!
