I'm planning on visiting Mazatlan sometime in January of 2010 and was hoping to do some surfing. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on where some of the better surf breaks are located there. Peace...
I've surfed Mazatlan and there are plenty of good breaks that are easy to find. The only problem is it's almost an exclusively a summer time surf destination. Most NW and W swells get blocked offshore islands and Southern Baja. You will most likely have more fun drinking beers on the beach checking out the endless amounts of beautiful women. If it's surf your looking for head south to the state of Michoacan.
