Hey guys, I'm heading out East this weekend and from what the surf reports are showing, things will be promising. My question is: has anyone surfed Ponquogue, specifically The Bowl? or K Road (Road K)? How is it? Is it for newbies, intermediates or pros? I can't tell from pictures and there aren't many videos, which kind of makes me assume it's not really a surfing area. However, surf-forecast.com says it has fairly consistent surf. But if it does, why aren't there more posts about it? Any tips about it would be great. Any comments of sarcasm and wit will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
I'm sure there's surf around there...but with overpopulation, people are learning to keep spots on the DL. Look for points, sandbars and other coastal anomalies on the maps. Talk to people at the local surf shop (buy some wax while you're there...at least). Eventually you, too, will learn not to advertise your surf spots (or any spot you think you may ever surf). The more you mention their names names and locations, the more word of mouth and crowded they become...this even stands for already well known spots.
