anyone got any advise, how to use all the features. Love swellinfo for forum, and quickness. Nearshore wave heights, 14-day forecast and more has been nice and with a student discount price of $30 i went for it.
NAM wind fucast is worth utilizing, although not as good & not updated as often as www.windguru.com Kurt Korte and Mike Watson are the better forecasters. Surfline tends to downplay or ignore wind direction if it's the chick fucaster named Katie Spagnuolo. Aside from that, make sure you forward the surfline premium long-term fucast to all your friends who don't have the premium aspect.
There is an app you can download onto your phone for quick forecasts / reports of all of your favorite named breaks, complete with HD cams for most. To get into detailed forecast features go to the main website, not the mobile version. You can check a long range forecast, which don't mean sh*t cause it always changes, but the 5 day is pretty accurate, especially when they are covering major swell events. You can go to "break details" on the surf report for a specific break and learn what conditions are best for that spot along with many other random details. There is a detailed forecast option that is break specific that is very useful, it compares the forecast data to the best possible conditions that the break performs best at, so you'll know if the wind and swell are optimal or not and it breaks it down hour by hour. Let me know if you have any questions, I use both SI and SL and both have their benefits. Throw in the weather channel and a buoy app on your phone and you're money.
I got rid of it cause there was way too much fluff involved. Anything outside the 7 day forcast was off, I enjoyed LOLA but for the most part the NOAA website offers most of what I need. That being said, understand how your local spots work, the premium was nice when traveling Good luck
I never got sucked into either one. At least SI is free if you are a mutant moron requiring to be spoon fed what is readily available elsewhere by NOAA. Now, I just open the window and listen to hear if there is surf breaking. The light whisper this morning told me there is very small wave. On arrival at the beach, I was 100% correct, something neither SI or SL ever are. Save your money; invest it in stocks and get rich instead.
patience is awesome and rly all you need its either the waves come or they don't, that's the way of the world you get skunked or score. you rrly only need 1-3 days out because that's the only thing that's semi predictable anyways. i live on the beach and just look out the window which is awesome. the only reason ive had surfline pro is for the cams which are fun to watch all over the world, cant beat it.
fk you and your white collar stock sht. i love my stocks so much!!!! woooohooo stocks!!! bro fk your money i cant wait till the market crashes again, but at the end of the day the rich will still be rich. what type of surfer invests in stocks, you sound like a poser to me. hey everyone barry is really just a troll supr. it all makes sense now. i dont even believe you surf in the winter time, but of coure you only care aboot money i bet you have a roy stuart board.
the webcams on surfline are the titties and if you live in a place with groundswell, the long range forecast is good stuff, but 'runs hot' aka big when its very far out in advance. if a big swell is running 14 days out multiply it by 7/14 running 13 days out multiply it by 7/13 and so on anything more than 3 days out doesnt really work for east coast from my experience
