    Ah, I don't know.

Like him or not, Sharkhunter does belong in the Fame.

He's made an name for himself, and people like(hate) to interact with him...

Plus, even when he's not actively here, his name is often spoken...

So that all qualifies him as a SWELLINFO elite.

Don't worry MIS 13 you belong, too.

    Matt Johnson doesn't, though.

You & your alter ego snoofer should just continue this tread by having a convo between yourselves.
Oh. Wait. Same guy. Well, just break out your ISIS balaclava & continue giggling at your keyboard.

shart snoofer, a serious question: does it ever get frustrating for you when you attempt to act intelligent?

BTW. I used to think long island NY was a good go to for northeast and North winds from NJ. Not anymore. Most brutally crowded surfing conditions I've ever seen in the long beach, NY area. Weekdays and even dawn patrol on sunday's with an average waist to chest high swell. It doesn't matter. It's packed. That's nyc for you. I also wasn't the only NJ plate in the parking lot. That's for sure. Everyone headed there with that northeast wind. You literally have MILES of jetty breaks and every single jetty holding a descent wave has 10-40 guys on it with a solid swell in the water even at first light. Also, jetties are packed too tightly together in some spots in long beach when a long shore current is going. Pain in the ass at times.

I remember looking at the lincoln ave cam and I always thought it was just crowded there. But no...Lido all the way to rockaway is a crowded mess. Summer is great thanks to lifeguards(spongers can go where they want). But "summer" is even shorter than RI. They don't even bring in lifeguards 7 days a week until the middle of june. Same with NJ. Such cheap bastards. So the black balls last hardly anytime at all. Those lifeguards save lives as well.

Oh and dont' get me started on the tolls to get from NJ to long beach, ny Talking like 35 bucks. ROBBERY! Greedy bastards. It's totally insane. Not a nice ez pass bill to get. And the traffic is absolutely horrific on top of it so you end up spending a fortune in gas and what should be a 30 minute drive can take up to 2 hours. Brutal congestion at all hours. That being said, NJ still smokes RI in wave quality and is a little more consistent to.

What the hell is with belmar blackballing some areas from BOOGIE BOARDS? ARE you kidding me. It's a piece of sponge. It's not going to hurt anyone. And many breaks don't have guards until 10am, which also sucks. Lifeguards are much more chill in RI or long island. You can boogie anywhere.

It can't handle longer periods though the way RI can. I'm assuming outer long Island is less crowded, but then you're talking a 3 hour drive each way. And I'm not sure the wave quality is as high. Long beach, long island area has some really good breaks. They don't close out and those jetties make a consistent wave. Too Bad nyc has 15 million people guaranteeing clogged lineups.

All that being said, the breaks are a million times better in NJ than RI and I'm enjoying the WARMTH since I'm a cold water *****. It's a big difference with the air temps especially. Longer season for me now :) Lot more choices for breaks as well.

I'm in northern part of NJ. About 40 minutes to the closest break in NJ. I thought I was in a good location to get to Long island breaks as well, but damn traffic and crowds is ridiculous unfortunately.

Not that far up. Far northwest nj near I-84 with all the black bears is like 2 hours from the beach I think. I have enough to worry about gw sharks getting me. Don't need to add black bears into the mix ;) I'm a fairly urban/suburban area. NW NJ is the woods

If you couldn't surf uncrowded waves in NY last week you didn't know where to go. Surfed in NY all last week and crowds were never a problem.
    And it was firing

You're right I didn't know where to go. I'm not familiar with ny. Just know long beach/lido/rockaway. They were all packed the few times I went this year. Points out past that are too far for me and I don't' know anything about those breaks.

Hey NJNY take him under your wing.

You don't live in Paterson do you? If you do, I'm coming up to visit. Top Junk city in the U.S. Small counts but FIRE.

Why did you come down here for?

    This state kills people, dude.

Man, you should have stayed up north in safe New England. This place is out-of-hand.

and u speak about uncrowded ny surf,do u have any idea how long the stretch of coastline is in ny?theres spots local newyorkers still don't know about, and none of us will devuldge that info on to u.u need to take things more seriously, quit all the hate,go smoke some reefer, maybe even try meth, and come back on a clean slate.we all know u are this mr bradquitted.

Wow... Yankee forced Shart Snoofer out of his alter-ego and back to reality. Fantastic.

Mr Snoofer is, unfortunately, on point... No uncrowded breaks in NY. Usually the waves are ****ty too. Probably best to stick to Jersey or RI, where you can surf an actual breaking wave with less than 30 people.

NY has to have some of the worst surfing conditions on the East Coast, which is probably why it gets so little coverage. You know if there was any real spots, all the loud-mouthed Irish-Italian-Jewrican idiots would be yapping about it.

Guys like NYNJ might have a soft spot for NY, and we can all get nostalgic at times, but let's face it, it sucks surfing here and I can't imagine why anyone would actually travel to do it.
